Patricio Riva Posse

Patricio Riva Posse is a dually trained neurologist and psychiatrist. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the Director of the Treatment Resistant Depression Clinic and of the Interventional Psychiatry Services. He coordinates evaluation and treatments of depression and other difficult to treat conditions implementing neuromodulation strategies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Electroconvulsive Therapy, Deep Brain Stimulation and Vagus Nerve Stimulation, as well as ketamine and esketamine. His academic work has focused on the clinical and neuroscientific understanding of depression and these treatment modalities.
